The term lineage can refer to several things. In many cases, it is synonymous with ancestry.

- lineage (evolution), a group composed of species, taxa, or individuals related by descent from a common ancestor (see also: clade)
- Lineage (Buddhism), a line of transmission of Buddhist teachers, particularly in Zen
- Lineage (computer game) and Lineage II, massively multiplayer online role-playing games developed by NCsoft
- Kya dark lineage a game where the character finds out about her lineage.
